The MFP-3D comes in two basic models, the MFP-3D Stand Alone and the MFP-3D Inverted Optical Model.

  • NPS Sensors - Corrects for piezo hysteresis and creep with the lowest noise levels, <0.6nm X, Y; <0.3nm Z (Adev) and sensor non-linearity <0.1 % (Adev/Full travel) at full scan in a 0.1-1kHz bandwidth. Z height noise <0.03nm.

  • Unique Optical Lever Design - Low coherence light source and diffraction limited optics virtually eliminate interference with noise <0.03nm.

  • Fully Digital Controller - 100% digital, low noise, fast USB connection. More than 25 megapixel image resolution possible. Features are easily added with software upgrades. SmartStart™ autoconfiguration for easy setup, DSPDirector™ for direct access to the DSP for advanced customization, Digital Q-Control for increased control of the tip-sample interactions while imaging.

  • MicroAngelo™ - Built-in nanolithography and molecular manipulation capabilities come standard with each system without the need for extra hardware.

  • Software - User-programmable based in IGOR Pro. Built-in graphing, page layout and Quicktime movie capabilities. Built-in cantilever calibration.

  • XY Positioning Stage - Precise, crossed roller design for sub-micron positioning. Motorized stage also available.

  • Inverted Optical Base - Simultaneous optical (fluorescence, epi-transmission, etc.) and AFM measurements.
